Student fares

 

in order to qualify for a Student fares, the customer must meet criteria outlined in each of the age categories.

In all cases, you must get your OPUS card at the Metropolitan ticket office.

This OPUS card is rechargeable and is automatically registered in your name, which is a big advantage should you, unfortunately, lose your card. The card has your picture, your name, the date it was issued and, if need be, your age on it.
 
The reduced rate Opus card is available at a cost of $15 and can ONLY be used by the person identified on the card.
