PRESSURE TACTICS BY TAXI DRIVERS MAJOR IMPACTS EXPECTED ON RTL’S PARATRANSIT, SHARED TAXI AND RTL À LA DEMANDE SERVICES

Longueuil, March 23, 2019 - The pressure tactics announced by the taxi industry, set to begin on Monday, March 25, could have major impacts on the Réseau de transport de Longueuil’s (RTL) paratransit, shared taxi and RTL à la demande services.

“At this stage, it is important that users of our paratransit, shared taxi and RTL à la demande services be kept up to date on the situation and plan their trips accordingly starting Monday morning,” explained Michel Veilleux, Executive Director of the RTL. “Naturally, we will adjust to the situation as it evolves and keep users informed.”

Expected impacts:

PARATRANSIT SERVICE

Due to the expected strike, the RTL will give priority to trips for work and medical appointments. Users should nevertheless expect delays.

SHARED TAXI SERVICE
