ENVIABLE ON-TIME PERFORMANCE AT THE RTL

Longueuil, February  21, 2019 – Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL) buses were on schedule 85.8% of the time in 2018, exceeding the Agglomération de Longueuil network’s target rate.

On-time performance was over 88% in some months, well above the target of 85%. RTL buses are considered on time when they arrive within a minute before or three minutes after the scheduled time, leaving some leeway for road contingencies.

 “We would like to thank all our drivers and staff for this achievement! We would also like to thank our users for their loyalty and for their understanding in the event of bad weather or circumstances beyond our control. The RTL is delighted to announce this great news,” stated Pierre Brodeur, Chairman of the RTL Board of Directors.

Ridership was also up for the second consecutive year, with 2.8% growth on the regular network and 9.5% growth in paratransit services.

“This shows that people are increasingly embracing public transit as a reliable and environmentally friendly alternative,” added Brodeur.
