BUS SAFETY AWARENESS ACTIVITY

COME MEET OUR TEAMS AT THE LONGUEUIL TERMINAL!

Longueuil, June 12, 2018 – The Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL), in collaboration with the Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ), will hold a road safety awareness activity at the Longueuil terminal on Tuesday, June 19, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Our team members, along with SAAQ patrollers, will be on site to educate public transit users and drivers about blind spots around buses, those areas where the risk of a collision is higher.

“In fact, some spots don’t even appear in a bus driver’s field of vision, which is why we think it’s crucial to inform and educate cyclists and drivers about the importance of staying safe around our vehicles. Because, after all, road safety and sharing the road safely are priorities for the RTL,” stated Michel Veilleux, Executive Director of the RTL.

The activity will take place in the P1 parking lot near the Longueuil terminal platform on Tuesday, June 19, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
