RTL welcomes appointment of two Transport ministers
Longueuil, October 11, 2017 – On the heels of yesterday’s cabinet shuffle, the Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL) welcomes the appointment of André Fortin as Minister of Transport, Sustainable Mobility and Transport Electrification, and Véronyque Tremblay as Deputy Minister of Transport.
“The RTL pledges its full cooperation to the new Transport ministers in the quest for innovative solutions. I am confident that these new appointments will help to address the major challenges facing transit organizations in the greater metropolitan region and that we will be able to work together for the benefit of public transit users,” stated Colette Éthier, Chairman of the RTL Board of Directors.
The RTL welcomes the appointment of a Deputy Minister of Transport to assist the Minister of Transport, Sustainable Mobility and Transport Electrification,
a move which it views as a sign of this portfolio’s importance to the government.
