RTL’s regular public transit personal attendant

Eligibility for paratransit service automatically allows you to be accompanied free of charge when using regular public transit.

However, you must show your paratransit OPUS card to the RTL bus driver and pay your fare.

Pickup
To ensure the safety of customers with an intellectual or psychiatric disability, a “pickup at destination” requirement may be entered in the file. This procedure is mandatory and means that a customer with this requirement in their file must be met by a responsible person (age 14 or older) at their destination.

A customer who is sufficiently autonomous to be left alone at their destination may be exempted from this requirement.

To request an exemption, a declaration of autonomy for transportation must be completed by a recognized professional. To obtain further information about this procedure or to request a form, please contact the paratransit service at 450-670-2992, option 3.
