RTL’S BUDGET AND CAPITAL WORKS PROGRAM ADOPTED

Longueuil, November 30, 2018 – The Réseau de transport de Longueuil’s (RTL) 2019 budget was unanimously adopted at a public special meeting of the Agglomération de Longueuil council, held on November 29. The budget stands at $191 million.

The council also approved the RTL’s capital works program, including its three-year plan (TYP). The capital investments planned for the period of 2019-2028 will total more than $1 billion and are conditional upon the eligibility and approval of government funding programs.

“Over the coming years, the RTL plans to invest heavily in improving the user experience. Whether it’s acquiring new vehicles, improving and developing our infrastructure, or substantially overhauling our service offer, everything we do will be aimed at serving our customers better,” stated Pierre Brodeur, Chairman of the RTL Board of Directors. “For the first time in many years, the RTL has also earmarked an additional $1 million, which will be dedicated entirely to improving our service.”
